Our attorneys routinely serve on local, statewide and national committees, participating in efforts to promote positive changes to the laws that affect the practice of family law and improve the education of family lawyers in Houston and across the state. Holding numerous offices in local, state and national family law organizations, firm partners Joan F. Jenkins, Lynn Kamin and Sherri Evans have set an example of leadership for their own associates as well as their legal peers. Joan F. Jenkins has served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Family Law Foundation. Joan F. Jenkins and Lynn Kamin have each served their term as President of the Houston Bar Association Family Law Section. Lynn Kamin is the former Chair of the Houston Bar Foundation and has served as President of the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law Inns of Court. Sherri Evans is the chair of the Pro Bono Committee for the Family Law Section and former President of the Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists. All three partners have tirelessly served on the Legislative Committee of the Family Law Section to improve and promote family law legislation across the state.

We are also committed to providing services in various pro bono programs in the Houston area offering legal services to the economically disadvantaged. This commitment has been recognized by the Houston Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Program with the "Outstanding Small Firm Contribution" award in 1998.
